Ela Family Farms’ weekly Denver City Park-Esplanade CSA share offers over 130 pounds of organic fruit during 17 weeks. The share suits a family of 2-4 people and averages approximately 7 lb. of fruit per week. Members receive the best of our cherries, peaches, pears, plums, apples, and heirloom tomatoes plus fresh apple cider in the fall. Because we grow over 20 varieties of apples, each apple week is unique. The last fruit share pick-up is a twenty-pound box of storage apples that you can enjoy into the New Year.

We often sell out of prized fruit. Therefore a CSA membership is a great way to ensure your share of our crop. Because ripening dates are dynamic, flexibility is required of our members. If we are short of one fruit, we will substitute the full retail value with another fruit or artisan fruit product. We guarantee our fruit and that members receive the full retail value of their share.

While we feel confident in our late season share, the early season cherry crop is more risky. Therefore, we divide our share into two parts so that no money is exchanged for the earlier crops until we know that we have them. The late season weekly share is available for purchase from March 1-June 15. Frost season ends at the end of May.  At that point we can determine if we have a cherry crop – if we have cherries, the early season sign up window is short from June 1-June 15. Late season members receive a personal message regarding the availability of the early season share. Others who are interested in the early season share can check our website from June 1-June 15 for the early season share availability.

Eat organic fruit for less than conventional prices with our canning share! Our 120 lb. canning share is great for those who want to savor Colorado fruit season year round by processing fruit while it is in season. Members receive a 20 lb. box of our “imperfect” fruit every couple of weeks or so during our harvest season. Can it, freeze it, jam it, dry it….or just gobble it up at a bargain price. Though not cosmetically perfect, our seconds are just as delicious and easy on your local organic food budget.

To become and CSA member, proceed to the CSA purchase page of our online store and choose Denver City Park-Esplanade as your pick up site.
