An earlier season peach that has sweet flavor with less tanginess than some other varieties.  It can be smaller sized, but is still juicy and sweet. These come off the pit cleanly when dead ripe, but otherwise they are a bit clingy on the pit.  Newhaven’s process well, but come off the pit better in slices than in halves.  Look for Newhaven in early to mid August.
