WHEN CAN I BUY A CSA SHARE?
Ela CSA fruit shares are available for purchase in the spring from March through mid June. You can tell if a share is open for purchase by clicking to add a share to your cart on the website. If it works, the share is available!
WHY BUY A CSA SHARE?
Farmers deal with a lot of unknowns. A great way to support local agriculture is by becoming a CSA member of our farm so that we can rely on you to eat the fruit we are harvesting. After all, ripening fruit waits for no one. Enjoy Colorado fruit harvest in real time as it comes straight from the farm to you. Our CSA members get top priority to our fruit, so especially in a light crop year, your share comes first.
Because ripening dates are dynamic, flexibility is required of our members. If we are short of one fruit, we will substitute the full retail value with another fruit or artisan fruit product. After all, taking the twists and turns and bumps in the road with your farmer is part of the CSA adventure! As always, we fully guarantee our fruit.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM THE ELA CSA PICK UP @ POTAGER RESTAURANT?
CSA members pick up their Ela Family Farms’ fruit share from Potager Restaurant via the back alley parking lot access on Tuesdays between 4pm-6pm. Potager is where locally grown, thoughtfully sourced seasonal menu leadership began in the Denver restaurant scene. Stay for a drink and appetizer on the enchanting back patio. Along with your fruit share, you can also purchase an organic veggie share from one of our favorite farms, Aspen Moon Farm by clicking here! Prices include a small pickup-station fee.
