Triple Crown Blackberry

A large, deep purple, sweet, but tangy blackberry that picks in early to mid-August.  Left on the vines to develop their full sweetness, these berries are a taste sensation.  Since these berries fruit on canes that grew the year before, one of our challenges is preventing cold damage to the canes during the winter.  The most difficult thing about harvesting these blackberries is beating our kids to them!
