WHEN CAN I BUY A CSA SHARE?

Ela CSA fruit shares are available for purchase in the spring from April  through mid-June or until the total available 300 shares are sold out. You can tell if a share is open for purchase by adding a share to your cart on the website. If it works, the share is available! Click here to see our other CSA pick up sites.

WHY BUY A CSA SHARE?

Farmers deal with a lot of unknowns. A great way to support local agriculture is by becoming a CSA member at Ela Family Farms so that we can rely on you to show up at the farmers market rain or shine to eat the fruit that is being harvested each week. We grow over 50 varieties of fruit that we pick at the peak of flavor and oftentimes sell out of prized fruit at our farmers markets. As a CSA member, you get top priority to a portion of our fruit crop, so go ahead and press the snooze button or have that second cup of coffee, because your fruit will be waiting for you when you get to the farmers market!

Because ripening dates are dynamic, flexibility is required of our members. The contents of your fruit share will reflect the realities of our harvest, so the contents below may vary. After all, taking the twists and turns and bumps in the road with your farmer is part of the CSA adventure! In turn, we guarantee that our fruit will be delicious and that our members receive a portion of our harvest each week.

We are offering a bunch of virtual learning and on-farm experiences this year, and invite you to join us!

WHAT IF I MISS A WEEK?

You will love the flexibility of our CSA share. If you miss a week, no notice is required. Simply pick up a similar amount of fruit from what’s available the week before or the week following your absence. In order for us to offer this flexibility, we ask our CSA members to pick up their fruit at least 30 minutes before the farmers market closes. Sorry, we do not offer switching between pick-up sites.

If you have further questions or would like to pay with a check, contact jeni@elafamilyfarms.com.

We look forward to seeing you at the farmers markets!
